“If I didn’t know you well, you wouldn’t be here.” Daniel laughed at his own joke, which wasn’t actually that much of a joke at all. He kissed her on the top of the head.“I’m not listening to you, I’m just resting so you do.” he put his arms around her kinda like a hug but not really more just like putting your arms around someone like in a protecty way I guess? But still love-y. “I know you wouldn’t have let me leave, by the way.”
“Sure thing, hon.” She pressed herself closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder and letting out a breathy laugh. “Oh, you just know me so well, don’t you?” She wrapped her arms around his middle, pressing her face into the crook of his neck.

Mel might just tell him to rest so she could go back to drinking and being on the computer, or maybe she’s flirting- its kind of hard to tell with her sometimes. “I’m staying in here so I can make sure you rest to though.”
She pressed a kiss to the bridge of his nose. “Hm. Good. I like it when you listen to me.” She rolled her eye and traced along the more prominent places of his face, letting out a little hum. “Like that wasn’t what I intended to happen. I wouldn’t let you leave even if you wanted to.”

Mel might just tell him to rest so she could go back to drinking and being on the computer, or maybe she’s flirting- its kind of hard to tell with her sometimes. “I’m staying in here so I can make sure you rest to though.”He sighed and put his hands over hers. “I’ll rest on my own terms, but you’ll rest now.” he was actually going to sleep a bit before he saw Mel acting like a fool, but he didn’t want to make it sound like she was telling him what to do.
“Why can’t you just listen to me? You need rest and you’re gonna get some or I won’t either.” She stuck out her bottom lip. “Pleaaaaaaase?”

She smiled slightly and moved closer until she was sitting in his lap. She unwrapped her arms from his neck and held his face in her hands. “Fine. But you gotta rest too. You’re lookin’ real tired, hon.” She ran her thumbs over the dark circles under his eyes.

Daniel sat on the bed next to Mel mostly because he liked when she just kind of wrapped her arms around him and they hugged, although it was mostly Mel doing the hugging. “Even if you ‘ain’t hardly drunk anymore’ I want to to rest. No exceptions.”He turned the knob and opened the door, she didn’t keep her room locked like he did, it made his life a hell of a lot easier. He walked over to her and picked her up while scowling, she was really light considering she barely ate. “I don’t want you drunk on the Internet, rest.” as he said that he put Mel down on her bed.
Mel frowned and crossed her arms as he put her down. “You’re not fun at all. I ain’t hardly drunk any more.” Her eyebrows furrowed a bit. “That sentence did nothing in my favour.” She reached up and pulled him closer so she could wrap her arms around his neck. “I don’t wanna.”

Daniel pushed from the desk and stood up, he was mad that Mel wasn’t listening to him, but what even is the use in that anymore? Mel never listens to him anyways. He walked out the doorway of his room and down the hallway towards Mel’s. That girl is going to learn to listen.
Mel leaned away from her computer, grinning lazily. She folded her hands together and turned her chair towards the door. She sat there waiting and tapping her foot. It was so fun getting him riled up. “You’re really takin’ your sweet time, huh? Hurry up, old man!”
